I have a question regarding OSM on Garmin Nuvi 1490 and Oragon 750.
I use the OSM maps for quite some time. When I use it for tracking, no problems. When driving, I use to regulate my speed according to the speed limit Garmin maps show. However, this is not automatically shown on OSM maps. Is there a way to activate this function on my GPS sevice?
Admin: This feature is only available in the newer NT format maps. OSM maps are not NT format

Hello! I have a NUVI 750 I found a few months ago, in great condition.

I've used it in our local town in OR and it worked fine.

Is this too old to upload international maps to?

I'm going to Japan and looking into Garmins, but if I can use this older model, then I won't bother buying a new one.

Thank you!
Admin: You can use these maps in any model, no matter if it is old. The only limit is memory size of your model, but if Japan map is too large, you can install it on your computer and send to device only the area you are interested in.

Thank you for this! So I could send it to the Garmin, for only the specified area I want? How would I do that? Sorry I'm really new to this. Thank you
Admin: Look at "Big Size Maps" section, you have instruccions for that.
